AIM:To evaluate the methods and results of the AXIS lateral maas screw-plate system in the treating of lower cervical apine injury.METHODS:29 caaes of lower cervical vertebrae injury were fixed with AXIS system,All of them were followed-up for more than 1 year,RESULTS:All cases had a good bone union without malformation.We found no complication of the injury to the vertebral arteries or nerves,There was no loosening of the plate and screw.CONCLUSION:AXIS lateral mass screwplate system has the characteristic of stable.simple and safe and is suitable for the treatmont of lower cervical spine injury.
AIM:To inestigate the possible correlation of the expression of gonadotropin releasing hormone(GnRH) and its receptor with of proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) in human gastric adenocarcinoma cell proliferation and differentiation.METHODS:GnRH and its receptor and PCNA were detected in 30 gastric adenocarcinoma by immunohistochemical ABC technique.RESULTS:GnRH and its receptor had the same distribution pattern in gastric adenocarcinoma cells.The positive signal was found mainly in cytoplssm.The content of GnRH and its receptor immunoreative product in high differentiatied adenocarecinoma was the lowest(P<0.05).PCNA positive signal which was found mainly in nucleus was gradually abated along with the rainsing of the extent of the differentiation.THe differences were significant among the three groups(P<0.05).In human gastric adenocarcinoma.the expression of GnRH and its receptor was negative correlation with the expression of PCNA(r=0.9).CONCLUSION:GnRH might be involved in the regulation of human gastric adenocarcinoma cell proliferation and direrentiation.
AIM:To study the effect of exposure to 8MV X-ray irradiation on heparanase mRNA expression in human colorectal carcinoma HT29 cells.METHOD:In situ hybridization technique was used to study the expression of heparanase mRNA in HT29 cells.RESULTS:After exposure to the dose of 2 Gy,the heparanase mRNA expression in HT29 cells was significantly weakened.CONCLUSION:Radiation may inhibit the metastasis ability of HT29 cells.
AIM:To compare the effects of early enteral nutrition and early parenteral nutrition on ameliorating visceral ischemia and relieving free radical damage.METHODS:66 Wistar rats were divided into 3 groups:control group (C),parenteral nutrition group(PN) and enteral nutrition group(EN),PN and EN groups made up of 30% TBSAⅢ degree bum model,We delivered nutrient solution with same calorie and calorie-nitrogen ratio via vein or enteral tract respectively.Blood flow of liver,kidney and change of SOD of heart,liver and kidney at 6,12,24,48,72h after burn were tested.RESULTS:Tissue blood flow and SOD of EN group were higher than those of PN group in many phase(P<0.05-0.01).CONCLUSION:Early enternal nutrition can relieve the increase of visceral vascular permeability and damage of oxygen free radical.
AIM:To study the expression of SMAD3 and SMAD7 of transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1)on keloid-derived fibroblasta.METHODS:The expression of SMAD3(at 1,2,4,24,48h) and SMAD7(at 0.51,1.5,2,4,24h) were added to the monolayer culture system.RESULTS:The level of SMAD3 were down regulated at 24h and the SMAD7 were maximum up regulated at 4h when TGF-β1 were used .CONCLUSION:TGF-β1 may down regulate the expression of SMAD3,but up regulate that of SMAD7.
AIM：To develop a new internal fixaion device fo cominuted,unstable facures of he distal femur,and to offer a guide fo management of these injuries based on biomechanical sudies.METHODS:Ten fresh adult femurs of cadavers.All femurs were similarly made of the models of supracondylar-intercondylar fractures,then double-plating with a plate in comibination with a polythene-plate,and the conventional sigle-plating was served as the control.The biomechanic tests(Compression,bending,torsion)were performed.RESULTS:The bending and torsion tests demonstrated that the double-plating groups were much stronger(P<0.01) than the single-plating groups in anti-bending and anti-torsion.During the tests loading to failure,the double-plating groups failed at a mean peak load of 11540 Nin axial compression.700N in anterior bending 1082N in posterior bending,593 N in medial bending,1010N in lateral bending,CONCLUSION.Double-plating with a plate in combination with a polythene-plate is an excellent technique and design modification for severely comminuted fractures of the distal femur,which may provide a high stability and solidness so that early mobilization and weight-bearing are allowed.
AIM：To analyze bone inductive capacity of the compound material of decalcified bone matrix combined with rhBMP-2 and impregnated with bone cement.METHODS:To asseas the experimental study,histological and Masson‘‘‘‘‘‘‘‘s methods were used.RESULTS:The effects of compound material on the induction of bone formation were investigated in NIH mouse models.It was observed that in the with rhBMP-2 group,mesenchymal cells gathered in the implated material at the 7th day postoperation,chondrogenesis were found at 14 to 21days after implantation.new bone formation were observed at obout 21 to 28 days after surgery and the DBM particles were absorbed by the new generated tissues gradually.CONCLUSIONS:The compound material of DBM combined with rhBMP-2 and impregnated with bone cement could induce the proliferation and migration of mesenchymal tissues that could be differentiated into cartilage and foumed new bone finally.The new bone could absorb DBM particles gradually.The compound material had fair capacity of bone induction.
AIM:To explore the co-effect of nerve growth factor (NGF)and basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF) on the sciatic nerve after injury.METHODS:96 rats were divided into normal saline group,NGF group,bFGF group and NGF+bFGF group.Sciatic nerve function index(SFI),nerve conduction velocity,regeneration axon counting were detected in the 3rd,6th,9th,12th week postinjury.RESULTS:The end of SFI,nerve conduction velocity,regeneration axon counting in NGF+bFGF group were higher than those in the other groups.CONCLUSION:The co-effect of NGF and bFGF on sciatic nerve is better than the effect of NGF or bFGF alone.
AIM：To study the regulation effect of different cytokines combinations on stem cell or progemitor of umbilical blood when no blood serum and matrix exist.METHODS:Collect and analyze the 23 sample of umbilical blood.RESULTS:(1) The combination of SCF+Flk2/Flt3 ligand and (FL)±TPO can amplify CD34^+,CD34+Thy-1^+,CD34+CD33+and LTC-IC in umbilical blood effectively and rapidly.(2) After add solubility type (sIL-6R) of IL-6 and IL-6 receptor into this combination,the stem cell or progenitor pmliferated prominently,When add IL-6 alone(without sIL 6R),the content of CD34^+ cells and LTC IC didn‘‘‘‘‘‘‘‘t increased obviously in early stage,but the amplification of CFU-Mix and BFU-E was not prominent as CFU-GM.(3) Detect apoptosis rate of cells by FITC-Annexin-V labeled by membranous change in early stage of cellular apoptosis,After add Flt3L and /or IL-6+ sIL-6R,the Annexin-V positive cells decreased from 15.2%-19.1% to 2.8%-3.5%,CONCLUSION:In suspending system composed with SCF+TPO+Flt3L+IL-6+sIL-6R without matrix and blood serum,the umbilical blood can not only produce large amount of committed progenitor but also Keep certain quantitive hematopoietic cells of early stage.
AIM：To investigate the changes and significance of dopamine(DA) in cerebrospinal fluid and serum in the cats with persistent vegetative state(PVS).METHODS:To measure the level of DA in cerebrospinal fluid and serum with high-performance-liquid-chromatography and electrical-chemical-detect (HPLC-ECD) in the cats with PVS and compared with control group.RESULTS:The level of DA in cerebrospinal fluid and serum in the cats with PVS was obviously lower than that of control group.CONCLUSION:Decrease of DA might be one of important facotors of PVS formation.
AIM:To investigate the relationship between bulbocavernous reflex(BTR),patellar reflex(PTR) and rehabilitation during acute stage of cervical spinal injury.METHODS:73 cases of a class frankel cervical spinal injury patients were examined with BTR and PTR and recorded the time of the two reflexes,then follow-up after 6 months to monitor recovery situation.RESULTS:There were 28 cases of positive BCR within the first 72h(38%),7 cases of improved conditions(25%);there were 13 cases of PTR positive(17%),13 casses of improved status(100%).CONCLUSION:BCR and PTR are the sign of improved status and better rehabilitation during the acute stage.
AIM:To explore the long-term therapeutic effects of surgical treatment for isthmic spondylolisthesis.METHODS:42 cases of isthmic spondylolisthesis were analyzed retrospectively among which 13 cases underwent simple lumbar interlaminar bone implant and 29 cases underwent transpedicular fixation combined with bone implantation.Assessment was made according to JOA standards before and after treatment.RESULTS:At a 3 years of follow-up assessment,the functional outcome in transpedicular fixation assessed by JOA was excellent and good in 79.3% as compared with the group without fixation in which the excellent and good result was 76.9%.The level of pain and functional disability were similar in the two groups,but fusion rate in the group with transpedicular fixation was higher than that in group without it.CONCLUSION:Surgical treatment for isthmic spondylolisthesis imprves function and relieves pain.
AIM:To evaluate the clincal value of 2.0T-SGR magnetic resonance angiography,METHODS:Using Elscint 2.0T-SGR MR to scan 62 patients with cerebrovascular disease.Three dimensional models were reconstructed by 3D-TOF with 3D-PC and treated with maximal intensity projection(MIP),RESULTS:MRA can clearly display normal vessel form and lesions.In these cases.there were 26 arteriovenous malformation(AVM) cases,12 intracranial aneurysm cases,7moy-moys disease cases and 18 arteriosclerosis and arteriaol occlusion cases.CONCLUSION:2.0T-SGR MRA is a noninvasive and effective angiography method to diagnose vascular disease with clear localization and high final diagnosis rate.
AIM：To discuss the value of technique of overlapped CT image in cerebral function of fossa cranii posterior.METHODS:27 cases of diseases of fossa cranii posterior were examined by three techenics(10mm scan,6mm scan,3mm scan and overlapped image),and then compare the quality of image,accuracy rate of diagnoses,misdiagnosis rate between the three techniques,RESULTS:The quallity of image of ovelaped image was better than the other,The accuracy rate of diagnosis were 77.8%,85.2%and 96.3%.The false positive rate were 14.8%,11.1% and 3.7%.The false negtive rates were 7.4%,3.7% and 0. CONCLUSION:There was important value for diagnosis of diseases of fossa cranii posterior with technique of overlapped CT image,and can provide help for estimatioin of the cerebral function.
AIM：To verify curative effect of He-Ne laser on folliculitis keloidalis nuchae,METHODS:103 cases with folliculitis keloidalis nuchae were divided into the treatment group(73 cases)and the control group(30 cases).Local application and oral antiauxins was used in the two groups,He-Ne laser radiation was used in the treatment group and then curative effect 15 days later were compared.RESULTS:The cure rats in the treatment group and control group were respectively 71.2%(52/73),and 30%(9/30),(P<0.01)while curative days were respectively 9.2 days and 11.9 days(P<0.01),CONCLUSION:In treatment of folliculitis Keloidalis nuchae,the application of He-Ne Laser radiation can effectively reduce the course,pain and side-effect of treatment,and raise the curative effect.
