What‘s it like being a kidult? One thing is certain-age determining “appropriate behaviour“ is losing saliency as a concept. It is no longer age that determines how we act, but rather our interests and attitudes.
I was inspired to write this poem when my daughter was about 4 years old, We were on vacation in Florida at the time. She was perfectly content playing in the sand and running along the water‘s edge. She didn‘t need a friend to play with.
I live in the city and there always seems to be “noise.“ At times when my spirit needs a break and my eye catches a lonely seagull, my inner being reaches out to find silence and peace. What a gift to receive.
